Springtime Slay

With the spring weather slowly approaching us, it is time to swap your wardrobe with clothes that fit the new season. Now I know that changing up your wardrobe can be difficult especially if you are not a fan of spring trends, but I’ll help you navigate!

Making space is the first thing you need to do when organizing your wardrobe. Take out the clothing you definitely won't be wearing this season. Go lighter with your spring clothes so remove heavy sweaters and down jackets. Also, be careful with wearing something spring with something winter oriented like a down jacket and flip flops. Pick the current season and fully commit. But the one thing that I cannot stress more is the check the weather before getting ready.

The colors we wear are extremely important. Colors help radiate who we are and even have a psychology around them. Also, some shades do not look good on everyone. With that being said, color plays a big role in one’s winter wardrobe. For all of my super boisterous fashion lovers out there, super bright colors are definitely on trend this year. DKNY and Jason Wu were some of the contributors to this as neon is a hit. For those of you like me whose outfits are predominantly black on the day-to-day, there are some colors for us to wear. Khaki was also extremely big. Another option is to add pops of color to your wardrobe like blues, reds, and if you really want to commit wear some neon! Color opportunities are endless this season.

Now, here we go with looks one could wear. Stripes are extremely trendy this season, Opening Ceremony and Rosie Assoulin were the rulers of stripes this season; however, if you are looking for something more affordable check out ZARA. Whether they are primary or pin striped, it will work. Don’t be afraid of ruffles or seam splits! Two outlandish but totally my style trends are bath robes and waist-cinchers!

Hopefully my tips and research can help you slay all day!
