This Fall the smokey eye makes a combeback (as it usually does!), but with a softer more lived- in feel. Elle Magazine calls it the "easy smokey eye" which can be achieved in 5 easy steps as I did here.
Line top and bottom lash lines with a dark brown or black liner, and extend slightly beyond corners of eyes. Apply liner to lower water line if desired.
Next, with an eyeliner brush, lightly smudge the liner to create a softer lived- in look.
Apply a nude shadow all over lids with a fluffy shadow brush
With an angled brush, apply a medium brown shade all along the crease of the eyelid. *Color should be just dark enough to add some contrast and depth, but not overwhelming.
Apply a dark brown shadow just at the end of eylid creases and blend outward, extending beyond corners of eyes.
